am 1090 UNID help - the blowing trumpet?

Unid, 1090 khz, 0700 UTC / 2:00am EST, March 13th, 2010

I'm looking for any help on ID'ing the station heard in this recording. At 4 secs into the clip I hear something that sounds like "This is KBTM...", then at 10 secs a very distinct "The Blowing Trumpet..." (religious symbolism?):

There's a newstalk "KBTM" on AM 1230 in Arkansas, and there's religious 1090 KAAY in Little Rock that usually throws a good signal here, but I'm not sure what this is?

So who's blowing their trumpet on 1090 at 2am? Anyone recognize the trumpet call heard in the clip?

I can confirm that it wasn't a split channel, but thanks for throwing the idea out.

I just heard the same "blowing trumpet" on another recording from the same night and time on 1350 - no station ID heard in this instance. So, this must be an interval signal of sorts used by a syndicated show or news source. AP has a similar sounding news "theme", but I think this is a little different.

Finally listened through my earphones.

At about 2 seconds I think I hear "...oy.com", but no KBTM ID at 4 seconds. I do hear "The blowing trumpet, out of Zion" beginning about 10 seconds. If I were a betting person, I would say the announcer says a few words in Hebrew towards the end.

Did your record any more before or after?

"Zion" - I failed to hear it before but it's clear as day as I listen to it over again. Going with the religious theme, I looked at all religious stations broadcasting at night on 1090 (all two) and see that Detroit's WCAR carries EWTN Catholic programming. Back to the clip, what I thought was "This is KBTM" (right after the "dot com" mention) is probably "This is EWTN". I bet I had WCAR, which would be a new logging if confirmed.

Here's the two minute clip in its entirety from 0659-0701. The Westwood One station heard in the beginning is probably WBAL Baltimore as I hear it often:

Thanks again for lending your ear!

The blowing trumpet just doesn't sound like a EWTN programming thing, but WCAR does seem a possibility, seeing it is a Barach station.

This evening, I'll put earphones on and listen to the full recording.
