AM 1110 Off The Air?

There's a reason all of these AM's are going off the air across the country. They are not financially viable. WBT is now on a signal that is viable to their target audience with 107.9 and streaming reaching more audience than they did when just on the AM and the rimshot FM.
Somehow, the ratings aren’t showing any increase in audience neither cume nor quarter hour. I don’t see that they’ve made any gains..

AM is a 100 year old technology. Name one other technology that is still in use with very little in the way of technological advancement in a century.
115 / 230 and 3 phase AC. Is pretty much unchanged. Whether you use a dam, coal, natural gas, nuclear, wind, geothermal or solar you are still "buying electrons" at the meter. Some folks are off the grid or have their own way of making AC or are using DC power like Edison started out with before Telsa's AC became the standard.
