AM 1200

From: Las Vegas, NV

I'm hearing at the TOH, no ID..but it has NBC News

It's not WOIA like I hope it be, WOIA is playing Coast to Coast AM

Anyone help

Hopefully you can try for WOAI on another night where conditions could be different.

It should be catchable if there's no interference or other stations on the same frequency.

Then again consider it's the peak of summer, the worst time for AM nighttime DXing.

A look at the FCC data base and assuming it is not WOAI and a quick scan of who it might be and eliminating the religious, off-the-air, daytime only, directional at a distance the wrong direction, and considering you are in LV, my best guess would be KYAA in Soquel CA. Oldies format. Can't tell if the use NBC news though.

WBAP and KRLD were barely listenable when I was there a couple years ago. They were still audible on the strip except in front of the brightest lights. If I remember correctly, WOAI was barely listenable. Oddly enough I heard WOAI 5 years ago, on the way home from a road trip to the East Coast as I crossed into Mississippi from Alabama on I-20.

Radio-Locator shows KPSF off the air and the FCC data base shows CP. But the pattern shows a small lobe at 30 degrees so if it is on, Las Vegas is possible at night.

Repeat after me us...WOAI.
