am 1430 streaming?

I wouldn't hold my breath. For some reason (probably $$$), current ownership doesn't seem to think it's much of a priority.

KZQZ has finally started streaming! kzqz1430am.com

This is GREAT news for all of die hard oldies fans out there. I tried tuning into them again last night on the radio here in Columbus, Ohio but no luck hearing them
like I was able to last Winter.
Then the thought accrued to me that they couldn't afford streaming and that is why I won't be able to hear them on the computer. It looks like your post
proved me dead wrong. Thanks for sharing. This is really surprising. :)

Sounds great! Excellent oldies station with a really nice mix!

Sounds great, and the website's a lot of fun to flip through.

BTW here's the direct stream link to play in Winamp: mms://208.43.60.68/kzqz-am

KZQZ implies that they are broadcasting live, but in the few hours that I have listened, it sounds more automated or voicetracking done very simply..anyone know for sure?

No real obvious flaws (like wrong intro into a song) but just that feeling that it wasn't "live and local." I heard one break on a Clear Channel Oldies station (not KLOU) that made it very obvious that it wasn't live...voicetrack that was intended to go over the intro ran over the outro...."blah blah blah, and HERE's The Doobie Brothers" who just finished playing...

Other than that, they sounded pretty good for what they are...would be nice if they can pull at least a 1.0 as an AM Oldies station..

There are no "live" shows weekdays from what I understand. Saturday afternoon they take phone calls live on the air, though. No local news at all. Sounds OK, but their jingles are so tinny sounding. Sounds like the jingles came from the Dollar Store....

There is no way to know how they are doing since they are not encoded for PPM. Not only will they never have anything above a 0.0...they won't even be listed!
