AM 1590 in Jackson

Hey all! I noticed that the Clarion Ledger published that AM 1590 was going to carry the Western Kentucky vs. USM basketball game last night since 105.1 FM had the football game. Didn't CC turn 1590 in to the FCC? Maybe just an oversight by the newspaper or is it back on?

It's been silent since January. I believe the towers have been taken down. unless they are going to string up a clothes line or coat hanger for an antenna, I wouldn't count on hearing anything on 1590 for a long time.

Is the Jim Walter house going to be torn down? It would make great Jackson crack house or crash pad for vagrants. Its a shame to see it go. They could have at least sold it and got a little money for it. It may have needed work, but it still sounded OK the last time I heard it.

Trust me...if that structure could talk it would fill volumes on almost any subject you can imagine! And for me, the most valuable knowledge a General Manager could impart to a wannabe radio station owner. Thanks, Tim Leblanc, and may you RIP. JBI

It might've been on AM 620.
