AM 810 WEUS signing on soon?

I got a dead carrier today on 810 AM. It looks like WEUS out of Orlovista is testing and will be going on the air soon. According to radio locator & the FCC database they will be 10,000 watts directional by day, 400 watts directional by night. I could not find any info on their owners, Star Over Orlando Inc. Anyone know anything about them , and what kind of format they will be? IMHO I would like to see either an oldies or standards station on there. Whatever it will be they better do alot of promoting once their on or else they will be selling snake oils. It is very hard for a stand alone AM to succeed nowadays.

The ownership also has gone by "Star Over Orlando Land, LLC" and is based out of Ormond Beach. I found two instances of the corp in the State Of Florida Sunbiz DB online.

Also, an FCCInfo.com post which also offered some more specific information on location, owner, contact info, etc..

My guess is.. another Spanish.

Air America has it listed as a new affiliate on their web site as of January.

Air America is something that Tampa Bay still doesn't have, even though we already have three talkers (not counting brokered).

At 10kw directional, will any of its beams aim towards the Bay Area>?

No -- everything goes out the Bee Line, because of the Bahamas and WMGG 820.

But Air America may soon have a Tampa affiliate, see the Tampa Bay board.

just what we need

Great, just what we need, another talk station. I guess Orlando does not need a standards or oldies station after all. Just another reason I'm glad I've got Sirius.
