AM 820 Henderson "The Edge"

I would love to hear the logic behind switching AM 820 to "The Edge" which sounds like some flavor of Alternative Rock. Is there an FM translator involved?

The University of Southern Indiana owns this station, and they've been running the alternative format on there for a number of years. I don't think they have one, but an FM translator would make sense.

Actually after looking at their website, WSWI indeed does broadcast on FM...sort of. They're on WPSR 90.7's HD2 channel.

Evidently, the station is alternative during the day and dubstep at night.

I was confused...I thought that WSON was on 820...it's on 860. That explains why I thought it was such a radical change!

WSON does have an FM translator these days. 250 watts on 96.5 from one of the tall TV towers. (WEVV I think) Last I checked they were still running ABC Oldies Radio.
