They have 2 more seasons with KSPN -- the 2006 and 2007 seasons.... Then in 2008 who knows? Arte Moreno wants a TV network like the Yankees have in New York. So in 2008 he could swith 830 to English language carrying the Angels and/or the Mighty Ducks (I don't know what kind of contract the Ducks have with the Mighty 1090 but that's a San Diego station carrying an Orange County team!). The Ducks games used to be on KPLS when they were English. Maybe they could obtain the rights to the Clippers games. And if SoCal gets another NFL team 830 could have some leverage for broadcast rights.

So yes, they could become a Sports talk station slicing an already thin pie. Though in 2008 where would that leave KSPN, the west coast flagship station for ESPN Radio?

WIth the Kings, an opening for the LA NFL Franchise, a shot at the Dodgers when that contract is up......and one VERY recognizable name.
