For a long time rimshot KTXV Mabank didn't even bother to use their nighttime facilities; 250 watts from around 55 miles southeast of Dallas just doesn't cut it. I don't know long this has been going on but I've heard them after midnight three nights in a row, apparently with full power (20,000 watts) using their daytime pattern. It's not a test, either; it's regular programming littered with all kinds of commercials. Their pattern has a deep null toward WLS Chicago but the sky wave may be ripping up KDXU out in Utah. Reception reports, anyone?
