That’s weird. I streamed The Vine from the station’s website and it’s playing the oldies that you’re used to hearing on there. If the issue with hearing it on an actual radio persists, try inquiring with the station directly at this link: Contact Us.
EDIT: After doing a little Googling, I think you may have been hearing KIHM in Reno, NV. Per the FAQ page on KVIN’s website, their pattern is directed N, S, and E by day; and N, S, and W by night. My guess is that’s to protect KIHM. I hope this answers your question.
You're hearing KIHM in Reno instead of KVIN. They're both on 920 and the station in Ceres-Modesto may be off the air or on the wrong pattern for the time of day.
