AM band interference in Lowell/Andover area?

Has anyone else noticed severe interference to the entire AM band in the Lowell/Tewksbury/Andover area? I have table radios in 3 different parts of my house, and the entire AM band is a loud HUMMMMM on all 3 of them. On a CC Radio 2 portable, the HUMMMM exists throughout the house, no matter what direction I orient the antenna. I can barely get WBZ and WCAP over the hum, but the rest of the AM band is a washout. I no longer have a radio in my car, so I can't tell how widespread the interference is. This has been going on for about 10 days now.

My Comcast cable box causes similar interference INSIDE PARTS OF MY HOUSE, but even then if I place my GE portable that isn't a Superadio in a certain corners of each room, it goes away. The humming you hear? Maybe it just doesn't know the words.

Hmmm...I have been having trouble with my cable TV/Internet connection at home for the last couple of weeks.. Maybe I need to check the Comcast wiring. Thanks for the suggestion.
