I judge the signal 1-5 like I talked about in the FM forum.
1. 550 WSJW Pawtucket RI Religious 71 Miles Away 1,000 Watts( Very weak but strongest in the Northwest direction.)
2-3.560 WGAN Portland ME News/Talk 123 Miles Away 5,000 Watts(OK signal, a lot of Maine/Coastal New Hampshire stations come down into the Cape fairly easily,especially on AM)
1. 570 unsure might be New York City

Welcome to the board Carltheradiogy. Nice post. I've only spent a few nights on Cape Cod, and it's been quite a few years, but what I encountered was very similar to what you're reporting. I think I also heard CFDR/780 on my last visit. It was just across the Canada border from Maine, but it's been silent for years.

As for a couple of your unknowns....

I think your 820 might have been WNYC from New York. There's a Boston-area 890 that sends a good chunk of signal in the direction of the bay, which might explain that one.
 
Okay, thank you Cyberdad. Ive enjoyed a lot of your posts and info as well. Yeah, conditions are quite crazy some days on the Cape and you just don't know what you'll get. And thank you for the 820 and 890 details.
