AM during the Aug 21 eclipse

Bookmarked that page and will try to remember to send observations from suburban Columbus, Ohio. I will definitely post observations here.
My plan as far as AM reception that day is to head out of town a little bit, maybe 5-6 miles east of me, to a rural area where there is much less man-made interference.
Guessing WLAC will be a cinch catch for me here, as its skywave signal is huge in this area pretty much every night. Judging from that map, KMOX should roll in as well. WBT will be non-directional at that point as well so it might grab some new listeners.

Living here in Charleston, which is part of the totality, it will be very interesting to hear what radio stations I can get during the eclipse.

From one article on MW eclipse DX, the dark spot also acts as a reflector for signals maybe 500-800 miles each side of the eclipse path, i.e. similar to DXing FM off an Es spot. There was a test in Europe in the late 1990's and guys in Spain heard MW stations in Britain, and vice versa.

I'll be tuning in and seeing what I hear.

I live in the 99% zone, and my wife and I plan to find a spotin totality, and I'm also taking a radio and hadphones---hopefully not headed to a viewing location that's running a soundtrack. WLAC and WSM are in the totality zone.

I remember listening to dial 1110 and one morning I was heading into School, and there's a weak signal covering dial 1110 up, as the call letters came up, I knew it was WBT. I also can't listen to WBT at night because of protecting KFAB from Omaha.
