AM DXing Season

CBX should be possible on a good evening. I had them last night mixing w/ KCBS.

Skywave in the daytime should be easy by December. I've gotten stuff out to 600 miles on the upper band at high noon. But, on New Year's Day this year, at 12PM PT, in came CBK 540 Regina with an ID. Weak but listenable - I was shocked that it would make it 800 miles.

I am hoping DX season last long this year. I always look forward to DX season. I did well last year, especially during, and a few weeks following Hurricane Sandy. Unfortunately, because of that, some of my favorite frequencies I had to stop DX'ing with my stereo system. I received a Grundig shortwave radio as a Christmas present and I use that more. I love it!!! See my recent thread about trouble I was having.

When I was at my other Brothers in West Sac in the Summer, I was shocked I got 550 KUZZ in the Afternoon around 3pm

Try that in December when I'm down
