AM DXing Water

I was at SF Ferry yesterday, like around 9:30am - was scanning the AM Band outside while it was raining...7 Feet away from the water

I got like Graveyard like Slop on all Station including 1710, I record it, but just now can't hear it :(

Also, I got KEX at the same time..is that cuz of the water?

You're receiver was overwhelmed, overloaded with 50 kw signals bombarding it from just a couple miles or less away- their towers sitting right on the Bay.
