AM/FM/TV bits

AM station audio changes in Tijuana- as of Friday, narrower audio bandwidth is now in effect at these outlets= 540, 800, 1270, 1310 and 1470.
DX'ers will applaud this. 800 made KGO and KABC unusable.
Reno, NV, soon will have 3 stations on 2 towers, with another CP for a fourth stn on the site, and an application for a fifth (50kw) squeezed in.
Oldies done right; KXO in El Centro playing the REGIONAL hits (SoCal) with a sprinkling of select 50's and '70s. Throw in Goddards' Gold, and Dick
Clarks' Rock, Roll & Remember, plus surprisingly good audio and it's a keeper for the oldies fan.
Oldies 105.7 changed directions 2 years ago March, when they hit #2 in the market. Where is it now? #10 0r 11? New jingles, out of region hits
and 9 commercials in a row don't help. Where are the real 'hits'-Animals, Rolling Stones, Moody Blues, E.L.O.,Hendrix,Chicago, B.S.&T. and the
other 85% of MoTown's hits??
KSDW and it's redundant translator, 96.9 switched to mono only, ala KWVE. Speaking of 96.9 , it's signal has really gone up in Lakeside,El Cajon,
Helix,Grossmont, Santee, and now in Kearney Mesa/Clairmont. With only 90 milliwatts off the back of the beam, its quite amazing...
Wednesday is the one year anniversary of KSIQ!!! (K-"Sure Is Quiet"). Commercials heard are Sam's Club,Rite-Aid, AutoZone and other clients
who don't have locations within 96.1's signal... and lastly-
Digital TV channel 50 was broadcasting color bars on sub channels 2,3 & 4 for a week or two with no ID's. They have since been turned off.
From John M.- the sub-channels may become available on a you-pay, you-program basis.

I'm sorry. I know you mean well, but your post just kind of rubbed me wrong.

You speak of technical jargon that only mostly engineers would understand, for most of your post, so I won't comment on that.

However... When you say "Oldies 105.7," do you mean in San Diego? I believe the name of the station is Walrus, not "Oldies 105.7," unless they've made a name change that wasn't reported on.
