In Houston, KRLD comes in at night with some splatter from 1070 KNTH, depending on where you are in Houston-Galveston. In far west Houston, you can easily get KRLD. KNTH is forced to protect 1070 KOPY in Alice, Texas and two daytimers on adjacent frequencies 1050 (also Mexican clear's XEG) and 1090.
In the past few months, on several occasions, KNTH has been off the air due to a major overhaul to the transmitter, data-lines and ground-wave system. During this time KRLD came in like a local.

When I lived in League City KRLD was pretty loud at night. There was some slop from KNTH, but I remember listening to Rangers games some nights with ease.
I never heard KRLD at my place daytime, but I do remember listening to it in Katy without many problems from 1070.
