AM Frequency of the Week - 1210 kHz

Southeast corner of Michigan.

Day and night - I-BLOCK from WCHB and WCWA. On a good night, WPHT can be heard with the I-BLOCK hiss.

Here (eastern Ontario), after dark, it's WPHT Philadelphia. This and 1220 WHKW I have to null out to get UK's Absolute radio on 1215 kHz.

Speaking of 1220 (not to highjack this thread, but no need to start another), right now I'm hearing Russian programming. Any ideas?

RE: 1220 Russian: no idea, but on Google, I see a WERT 1220 listed as being called "Radio Pervii" (translates into "Radio Number One" from Russian). WERT, according to the AM DX radio list I got off the internet, is supposed to be a standards station in Ohio. Maybe they flipped formats.

I believe WERT still is standards. At least it was the last time I was out in that part of the state a few months ago, and they're still streaming that programming as well.

As heard in St. Louis:

Daytime - the faint sounds of WILY in Centralia, IL.

Nighttime - the two regulars here are WPHT and KGYN, with others jumbled in every so often for good measure.

It may be a station playing Russian programming only at certain times, but not advertising it online. There's a station in Alberta that plays South Asian programming at night, but you wouldn't know it from any of the info online.
