Coastal Alabama, more or less the same as @ente above in S. Mississippi, although I've only heard WMPS maybe once or twice during the afternoons. WTXK Pike Road is my most common critical hours catch.

At night, it's usually KGYN Guymon, or Radio Sancti Spiritus from Cuba.

KGYN's the biggie here north of Austin, TX, on 1210.
Interesting nighttime propagation for that station. The signal covers a big chunk of the Rocky Mountain west.
Looks like WPHT is a former clear channel frequency, due to all the other 1210s.

Again, those are NOT coverage maps. kGYN at night covers slices of OK, KS, the Texas Panhandle, NM and CO, but definitely not the whole are on the map with a listenable signal.

WPHT is the dominant station on the channel, and everyone else protects them.

I think it's probably safe to say that there's probably enough anecdotal evidence to suggest that KGYN's compliance record at night is perhaps....er...."a bit suspect". :)

In the past I rarely heard KGYN interfere with WCAU/WPHT.
I've always realzed that the maps we've been talking about aren't depictions of actual coverage. But they, along with the R-L maps still give you a pretty good idea of what the directional patterns are supposed to be. And when it comes to "supposed to be", the Chicago area is pretty much "supposed to be" in the KGYN nighttime null.

That said, I doubt that anyone at WPHT cares about what KGYN might be up to. At least until if/when they start getting complaints from listeners in their target area.
