AM Frequency of The Week: 1260

What do you guys get on 1260?

In Bothell, I've gotten the following off the top of my head...
KLYC McMinnville, OR (Oldies)
CFRN Edmonton, AB (Sports)
KPOW Powell, WY (Country)
KWEI Weiser, ID (ESPN Deportes)

-crainbebo

In North Idaho, the same 4 you list, plus KBLY Idaho Falls (news/tlk).

Northern VA,

I can get WWRC "Intelligent Talk" from DC. At night, I once heard CKHJ Fredericton, New Brunswick with a country format at a distance of 743 miles.

In the LA area:

Local KGIL 1260 (adult standards) all day/night.

1260 From Lexington, KY:

Daytime:
WNXT Portsmouth, OH

Night-Time DX Heard Here:
WNDE Indianapolis, IN

Sunrise/Sunset:
WNOO Chattanooga, TN

In east Texas, daytime KWNX from Taylor (Austin area) and at night it's usually KSGF Springfield MO, sometimes along with KWSH Wewoka/Seminole/Holdenville OK.

In suburban Rochester NY, mostly IBOC slop from my second-closest local, WHTK 1280; sometimes WSKO 1260 Syracuse sneaks through, and at night it's often WMKI Boston with Radio Disney.

Far northwest suburbs of Chicago.... Very week WEKZ (Monroe, WI) day. Night is usually Radio Disney from Belleville, IL (St. Louis). Indianapolis is sometimes in the mix.

Here in Warminster PA, it's semi-local WBUD from Trenton in the daytime, and
who knows what it is at night, maybe Radio Disney from Boston.

SW Ohio
I'm ashamed that I haven't DX'ed 1260 this time around.

Days
WNDE Indianapolis - Weak, but usually there.

Nights
WNDE Indianapolis - Not a reliable or regular signal

After 1250 WHNZ turns off it's IBOC jammer at sunset, I receive WSUA out of Miami; during the day with the IBOC on cannot pick up anything on 1240 or 1260 and struggle to pick up WONN 1230 Lakeland.

drt,
st. petersburg

In Mississippi I used to always pick up KGBX or KTTS in Springfield, MO. Over the last number of years its almost impossible to pick them up. I also occasionally hear Radio Disney and early in the morning I can sometimes hear a station in Baton Rogue, LA. Most nights its just a bunch of slop.

In Phoenix, it's the Nifty 1260, KBSZ Apache Junction.

The real thrill is getting them at night when they run 50 watts,
fighting it out with several other 1260s.
