From NW San Antonio:
Day: Normally it’s a weak KCTI “Texas Public Radio” in Gonzales. However, recently I haven’t heard the station at all. I have heard KCYL (classic country/news/sports) in Lampasas during winter daytime skywave.
Sunset: Classic hits KMBL in Junction, TX, and KCYL start to come up, and sometimes I'll hear brief bits of an "ESPN Radio" station that I presume is KMHT in Marshall, TX.
Night: To the N/S, KWHW in Altus, OK, rises above the mess most often. KGFF in Shawnee, OK, as well as KMBL and KCYL, are heard occasionally. To the E/W, KSIG “Sunny 95.1” in Crowley, LA, is heard most often. KIKR “CBS Sports” in Beaumont, TX, is sometimes heard, as is "Cow Country" KSEL in Portales, NM, and the presumed KMHT.
Sunrise: KWHW is still heard the most, with KMBL and to a lesser extent KCYL occasionally mixing in.
DX/Retro: My one-time catches on 1450 include KNET in Palestine, TX; KOKO in Warrensburg, MO; KGIW in Alamosa, CO; KWBW in Hutchinson, KS; WROX in Clarksdale, MS; and XEJM in Monterrey (retired). I occasionally heard XECU "La Z" in Los Mochis at night before it was retired.
Also, KBEN in Carrizo Springs, TX, used to be a sunrise/sunset regular (switching between "La Voz Tejana" and "Radio Cristiana" at different times of day), but it's currently silent. In addition, XERDO in Reynosa was common at sunset and nighttime before it was moved to 1060.
