Let's go back up the dial this week and stop near the top....although not quite as near the top as it once was. What are you guys hearing these days on 1510?
Here in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago daytime, I can usually get a very weak WWHN from Joliet, IL. 1kw ND days from about 65 miles away. WRRD from Waukesha, WI (west of Milwaukee) is a 23KW daytimer about the same distance away, but I'm squarely in the deepest part of their null. The result is that I never hear even a trace of it.
Nights, it's all WLAC. Not exactly a monster, but generally always reliable with a good signal. Of course that one was a "go-to" back in the days when John R. was hosting overnights. The only other station I recall hearing on 1510 with any certainty....and I've heard it a couple of times...is little 500-watt coffeepot, KTTT out of Columbus, Nebraska before their local sunset sign off.
