AM Frequency of the Week - 670 kHz

In Derby, central England....

675 is Radio Marina, a Catholic station from the Netherlands which comes in pretty strong night and day here.

666 is blank during the day (a really good set might pick up BBC Radio York but I get Sweet Fanny Adam).....a weak Radio Barcelona at night.

Here in Columbus, Ohio ...
Daytime: If WSCR does make it in here, it is extremely weak. The groundwave might get to the metro during the winter or if there's snow cover between here and Chicago. 90 miles northwest in St. Marys, Ohio, my mother's hometown, WSCR is weak but quite listenable during the day. Probably 3-4 out of 10 but definitely there.
Nighttime: Probably 80 percent of the time, it's WSCR. The Cuban still gives it fits some nights, but never blots WSCR out completely. As recently as 20 years ago, there were some nights where then-WMAQ could not be heard here because of the Cuban. Oddly enough, as close as Toledo or Lima WMAQ didn't take nearly the interference it did in Columbus.
