AM Frequency of the Week: 730

Hmm. I don't recall hearing anything specific on 730. Nothing is daytime local, and I appear to be in the null of KQPN and the Placid station in Florida. So... Nothing? :)

I wasn't able to get down to your part of the world this year, but I'm drawing a blank on 730 for daytime. There used to be a 730 in Covington Louisiana, across the lake from New Orleans, but that one is long gone, and I don't think the 1kw signal made it to the beach for lack of a saltwater path. At night, however, Mexico City was usually doable.

I'll have to make a point to listen one night and see if I hear XEX. It might've been there before and I just never noticed!

Days::::Nothing

Nights:::500 watt KDBI ( former KNFL ) out of Boise...Spanish music...But major splatter from KDWN and KCBS.

I have occasionally picked up CHMJ out of Vancouver..

Not 500 watts. They have been running day power all night for weeks, if not months now.

I'm starting to think night power (and/or pattern) is becoming just a suggestion. Case in point....WCCO usually is one of the strongest night signals here. This morning well before sunrise, however, it was getting blown out by something with a strong signal in Spanish.
