I’m surprised you didn’t hear KGB from San Diego at either of these locations at night. I’ve heard KGB at night up in the Bay Area before. Not sure about Point Reyes, but that’s pretty close to San Francisco.

Here in Carlsbad, CA in North San Diego County, it’s KGB day and night. If anything, the nighttime signal is stronger than the daytime signal!
I should have mentioned that the reception I listed was in the daytime, but I couldn't edit the post after I first completed it.

Anyway, I can get KGB at night on the Point Reyes SDR. But at home in Oakland, 760 is mostly just mush. This may be summertime conditions, to be sure.

There's definitely a southbound null from CKLW. It's pointed directly at the 800 in Huntington, West Virginia. Whether that who it's meant to protect, I don't know, but it's there. CKLW is noticeably weaker around Port Clinton than in Toledo or Cleveland and points east, and other than a null there's no reason for that given that it's a straight, short shot across Lake Erie.

It's always struck me that CKLW's night signal is weak here in the Chicago area, but stronger in central and even parts of southern Illinois. We can talk more about that in a little more detail when we cover 800 in three weeks.

Are you talking day pattern or night pattern? Huntington would not be a factor at night. I think we’ve talked about where the CKLW/WKEE line was (in both’s top 40 days) before

Daytime, although it might be there at night as well.
In any case, it's a great illustration of their coverage vs WJR's in different directions.

CKLW's current pattern and power went into effect in 1950. It would depend if WVHU (WKEE) was licensed before then

Riverside gets KGB but it’s weak in the daytime

From NW San Antonio:

Day: It's my local, 50 kW sports station 760 KTKR "The Ticket."

Night: When KTKR drops to 1 kW and night pattern, I can get a small partial null by aiming NE/SW. XEABC is heard consistently in that null, sometimes taking over completely and not totally fading out very often.

Sunrise: XEABC is still there until KTKR goes back to day power/pattern.

DX/Retro: My one-time catches on 760 include WJR in Detroit and XEZZ in Guadalajara (both in 2016) and XEDGO in Durango (in 2019). I heard KCCV in Overland Park, KS, once while driving through Houston during a March sunset in 2015.
