530 Radio Visión Cristiana has not returned since Hurricane Ike passed over the Turks & Caicos (early September) due to power grid feed and (IIRC) some antenna damage. What anyone hears in Spanish is CMBQ Radio Enciclopedia, Cuba. I can't say what other Spanish station the second station would be (if in fact correctly identified as Spanish).

Here in Clearwater, FL, it's always Enciclopedia alone on 530, day and night. Enci, by the way, is not classical. It's -- for lack of better description -- Lounge Lizard (most of the songs are versions re-recorded by various Cuban national orchestras). The announcer patter (canned) is always female, and they insert ID's on the bottom and top of each hour, including their theme music on the top.

Regarding the various beacon or CW reports, Enci was off briefly after Hurricane Ike, allowing 526 ZLS, Stella Maris, Long Island (Bahamas) non-directional beacon as well as 529 LYQ Manchester,TN NDB beacon to dominate at my location. LYQ is likely the source of all the CW reportings.

Sometimes I listen to CBU in the office or the truck, if I am working graveyard shift or if I am driving somewhere at night. Comes in somewhat mediocre in Pendleton at night (it seems to be overpowered by a loud, constant low-pitch buzzing noise; it's not IBAC hash) but around here it's perfectly listenable.

by day, wokv from jacksonville comes in like a local all the time, at night, i have not done this in a while. i know wokv has come in at times but after that i forget. i'll try that here within the next week and let you all know. thanks. later.

From northcentral Mississippi, daytime and especially evenings my hometown's WSPZ is the lone weak signal. 166 miles to Birmingham from here. At night I've heard WIST, WSPZ (500 watts!) and un-id'ed spanish.

In the Albany-Saratoga, NY area, CINF Montreal is audible 24/7 on 690.

I have heard another station way under XEWW in english ,countn't ID it ,I'm wondering if its CBU.

690 XETRA did change there call letters to XEWW earlier this year, Radio-Locator till list them as XETRA,They do have a strong signal in Central CA.
