This afternoon I had time to roll tape on KFUO Clayton, MO (St. Louis) from multiple sources, and allow those interested to compare how each sound. The station was recorded this afternoon (24 November 2019) in the 2 PM hour CST (2000z). The files run during the same time period, with each running 34 minutes, and are unscoped.
KFUO is operated by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.
Having a bit more time to listen, KFUO does operate in stereo using HD on its AM signal.
I recorded the AM signal with my Sangean HDR-16 to a Tascam DR-05 portable as a .wav file. The standard AM signal was recorded from a Panasonic RF-1108 to my PC using Cool Edit Pro as a .wav file. Their internet stream (MPEG-2 AAC) was recorded using Streamwriter, and converted to .wav as a comparison, using dbpoweramp.
While the AM HD feed uses stereo, I noticed the stereo switches to and from mono in the HD mode. I am not sure if this is related to bandwidth, codec, or signal strength at my residence.
The audio levels were as closely matched as possible for comparison purposes:
The files encoded as full .wav can be found at this link:

For those who prefer .mp3's, the 320/44.1 files can be found at this link:
