No, KTFW was the only thing worth listening to and they've gone down the tubes too (no longer real country).

You're right all the bad stations are boring, that's why I listen to my IPOD

I've noticed that as well. Too bad.

I'm right there with you. Ever since I moved here, I've been streaming from my hometown but also stations from other countries.

I like 80's/90's country, but the execution is very poor on KTFW. Very very poor. I thought they had switched to AC when I checked out their website awhile ago.

Bored with Radio.

Bored with Sirius XM.

Bored with my Ipod.

Bored with TV.

On board with the sounds of silence. (I don't even want to change my hearing aid batteries!)

Thats why I listen to the Out Of Town Stations I can get (1400), and why I have my own station.

That being said, I like 92.5 97.1 and 98.7 Locally.

Musically, DFW radio offers little to me.

I love the medium of radio, but I don't love the musical selections.

I would love to see an station dedicated to 80's. IE, playing the songs that were om MTV in the 80's. That would bring back many good memories.

But, I guess what we'll get instead is another Tejano flavored station.

Quality of Life... in the DFW Metroplex ???

Glad to see I'm not the only one feeling this way. Didn't want sound like a scrooge....

You're not. I no longer live in Dallas, but I go there at least a couple of times per month. Unfortuantely, I can't find anything interesting to listen to. I find that amazing...

It used to be a great radio market.

Usually, I will either listen to my own station via my cell phone (which plays nicely throught my car's stereo), or I listen to XM, which I also find to be boring.

Back in the 80's when I lived in Arkansas, I couldn't wait until I got to Sulphur Springs and finally be in range of Q102. I'd even tape it while visiting family in Dallas, to hear the new music first. You'd hear new songs on Q102 long before we'd get them up there. I was into U2, Bon Jovi, The Police, Van Halen (etc.) long before my Arkansas friends knew who they were.

No remarkable stations now, all cookie-cutter formats that can be heard anywhere. Not much remarkable new music, either.

The KVIL jingle singers of the 70's where preaching the future from the past...."Its a shame whats happend to radio...."

I enjoy PHC on KERA, the car-talk shows (three different ones!) KTCU, the blues, country, rockabilly, Grateful Dead and polka shows on KNON, Bo & Jim, Jody Dean and the Morning team, KCLE, and, SURPRISE! KKXT is really sounding good now. I'm hearing a lot more great songs, and some interesting new things on KKXT.
So, sorry for all you guys who are burned out on format-radio... I still find things to amuse me.

I'm happy with what I listen to. Sports Talk radio in this town is great. KKDA's morning show is greatness. I rarely listen to music radio because I can't get classic hip hop hits, new jack, and smooth jazz OTA but that is okay. I guess you would not be bored if you just listen to 2 stations.

KXT is worth listening to at times. I wish the overall presentation on KXT had a little more energy though.

What a bunch of haters! Most of the posters here are in the industry; if you don't like what you hear DO SOMETHING about it. Don't just migrate away to other music sources and then bitch and moan when you don't like what you hear on the airwaves.

grantchester... you're ok.
