I don't know how long it's been going on, as my car radio has been playing dead for most of the winter season (it's decided now to come out of hibernation now that it's warmer again).
I'm hearing a certain pirate station as I travel around in New Britain as I'm playing cab driver for my Mother again.
When I first caught it around 8:30 I didn't write logs out and noticed they kept playing the same promo every time between each song saying something like, it's the truth, you're hearing the station with the most variety XXX.X FM.
After a few songs they stopped doing that and I started logging them...
(I did as much as I could, but this is not my usual musical format, so I don't know everything they were playing)
8:4? Baby it's cold outside
8:48 To Sir With Love
8:51 Mambo no. 5 - Loie Bega
8:54 Love Train
8:57 Betcha By Golly Wow
9:00 ID
9:00 Let Your Love Flow?
9:04 Back Stabbers - O'Jays
9:07 If I had a Million Dollars
9:11 ID
9:11 Breathe Again - Toni Braxton
9:16 Ringo Starr - The No No Song ?
9:18 Don't Stop till You Get Enough - Michael Jackson
during this song a sample of James Brown's scream from "I Feel Good" was randomly dropped as though they were trying to mix it in.
9:23 Micheal Jackson song ends abruptly just seconds before the normal fade and once more about 5 second after the cut out the same JB scream hits off once.
There is then dead air for less than a minute until...
9:24 If I Had a Million Dollars (3rd time for this song since I started listening about an hour at this point, first a live version than at 9:07, the studio version and this time again the studio version)
9:29 ID
9:29 Wings - My Love
station started to fade as I headed away from New Britain, mostly light fade, also my pen started to fade at this point, so even though I heard more I didn't log it, a mile before Middletown, a legal on-channel station started to come in.
So, anyone else getting these guys?
