Am I the only one that noticed?

Is there anything unusual about hearing the name of a station and it's call sign?

Well, they were using the KIOL call letters up until very recently is what he meant.

Now KHJZ can start complaining. ;D

About what?

For the millionth time, Mediafrog, call letters do not matter.

103.7 took the KHJK calls today. I heard it for the first time at 5am.

Noticed when they changed.....but I wonder HOW long Cumulus had those calls parked on that CP in anticipation for this change?

As for listeners, I guess I am #2 or maybe 3?? Heck I know a LOT of people who are listening to Jack....
I wore one of my 100.3 JACK FM Ts I got from KJKK yesterday and a lot of people noticed it and commented on 103.7 (all of it good)....

Close to this subject, I heard Estereo Latino Say KLTN in english.

Yeah, same with KGOL, KQBU, KREH, KLAT and all the rest of non english stations

One of the struggling Spanish stations should hire you guys as a morning team. ;)

It used to be the same way with the border stations in Mexico. XEROK, better known as X-Rock 80, back in the day, had to give the call sign 'en Espanol por favor'.

XEROK was required to ID in spanish at BOTH :25 and :55. It was done in a female voice....the ONLY English "ID" you heard was "X ROCK 80"....but it never gave the COL of Juarez Mexico as it did in the spanish ID.

Yup, it was a quickie :03 ID with an ascending music bed. Blew right by. I recall it was usually embedded in commercial breaks.

The female Spanish ID was "Xaaah Eeee R O K, Juarez Mayheeco" and what a sexy voice....twice an hour...it was worth hearing just that!! The English was only XROCK 80......and that was it...NOT a legal ID in the literal sense..

Hey this wil make you laugh even more. Do you want to know my real name? My real name is also Juan H ;)
