AM iboc off this weekend?

Anyone know why the AM IBOC was off this weekend? Any chance they were concerned people would have trouble tuning in the station at the air and water show with crappy radios?

No, I would assume that the 8-second delay which HD employs would mess up anyone who brought a radio to follow along.

Makes you wonder what WBBM and other stations will do for sporting events. HD delay doesn't work very well with live events.

Did WBBM run IBOC for the Bears game? (I'm asking more because I'm in Rockford and was having a horrible time with WBBM on a radio that's NEVER had a problem tuning in the 50kW flamethrowers. (In fact, back in Palatine, it was the radio I used to tune WRMN to listen to a friend's show)

Why, that's simple. There will soon be a mandate that spectators will have to wait 8 seconds before they convey their reactions to events on the field. :p
