I'm posting this in the Business group because it's more of a financial question I have as opposed to equipment.
I've got several MP3 players that come with FM players. However, most of the time I listen to AM radio. I have yet to find a nice small MP3 player that comes with an AM tuner.
I've seen some like a C. Crane model. Its price tag is up there, nowhere near as low as the many FM ones.
Any idea why this is? Is it cost of materials? Too small a market, not enough people wanting to hear AM on portable MP3 players?
Also, have you seen any of these for maybe $50 to $100 at most instead of $225 like I've seen some? I'm not about being cheap, it's just the difference between AM and FM on MP3 players is astounding.
Thanks!
