AM radio

let's see. MCTV was around, we were listening to 92 rock (sudbury) play classical rock from what was used.. a CD (cierra 1973 - 2000)

ohh, and bell canada required an operator to say your phone number, please to make a long distance call.

north bay had three stations, CKAT, CBC E CBC F until recent.

ok.. so that am 600 was out of north bay? i remember the red and white playing modern music we thought it was from satellite.

and at the time.. i used to listen to a show called "signals the radio magazine programme you read with your ears" which hooked me up with radio pioneers in the TVRO field. Scott, I think you were on that show.

WJSB will be splitting off their programming from the FM sometime next month. No format announced.

WHAT? How long did that AM/FM simulcast last? I know it's been at least 10 years and I suspect WAAZ has been a simulcast of WJSB since the FM signed on (in the 70's?)

Heck, Canada's got nothing on us. I know for a fact that parts of Alabama still used a party line telephone system in 1990. There are still counties in Alabama and Georgia without 911 systems. And I know people that are still paying monthly rental fees on their black, rotary dial, telephones. Ain't broke, don't fix it, get off my lawn.
