AM stations observations - 1470 WBOM and 1080 WTIC

Scanned the AM band in the car while parked in New Britain today and observed 1470 WBOM experiencing technical problems again. This time it was like the problem they had when they were still simulcasting WDRC/1360. Everything was skipping. It's not skipping like when a CD or record skipping. 102.5 was not having these problems. No I didn't call the Engineering Department at Full Power Radio. The truth of the matter is I don't care. I don't listen to WBOM and even if I did 102.5 FM comes in crystal clear where I live. 102.5 won't be among my presets when I finally buy my own vehicle in 2023.

I don't listen to AM radio with any regularity any more. I usually do a band scan a couple times a month just to checkout what's going on.

I think WTIC AM 1080 is the worst sounding AM station in Hartford. Yeesh. For the most part I haven't turned on 1080 since Clark Howard ended his syndicated talk show a few years back. Sister station 1060 KYW in Philly doesn't sound this bad!
