AM Stations with contemporary music formats?

The bulk of AM stations as we all know air either talk/sports formats or "oldies" formats like classic hits and adult standards. Do any AM stations air mostly contemporary music? Which ones air CHR/rock/hot AC/urban or country music?

KCJJ plays hot AC with classic hits shows on Sunday morning. KJAN plays AC, they're both in Iowa and KJAN has an FM translator.

Most that do have FM translators to simulcast the AM to make the contemporary format viable...

KKCL 1550/K245AD 96.9/K245CM 96.9 Denver — AAA “96.9 the Cloud”
KTSN 1060/K261DW 100.1 Austin — AAA/Americana “Sun Radio”
(co-owned KJFK 1490/K242DE 96.3 runs adult hits "Jack FM")
KRMD 1340/K264AS 100.7 Shreveport — AC “Lite Rock 100.7”
KHAT 1210/K244FN 96.7 Laramie WY — country “New Country 96.7”
KQDE 1340/K258BW 97.9 Kalispell MT — AC “Magic 97.9”
KGAF 1580/K222DD 92.3 Gainesville TX — AC

Does 'soft AC' count? Mostly 1970s-1990s soft hits? Because then we would include WEVR-1550 River Falls WI to the list. But they simulcast the FM much of the day. It's a time warp to another era, the 'good neighbors in the friendly valley'...1-2 commercial breaks per hour, the one older man (I think his name is TJ) doing weather and an hour of news at noon and 5PM...worth a listen on the KiwiSDR from Minneapolis.

Many country stations on AM in very small towns, including KIUN-1400 Pecos TX (with NO FM translator!!), KAPS-660 Mt. Vernon WA (simulcast on 102.1), KFLN-960 Baker MT, KLTZ-1240 Glasgow MT, etc.

In my Area

1600 KUBA Yuba City/Marysville, CA in the Day time
1270 KVMI Tulare, CA at Night
1270 KBZZ K223AL Reno, NV at Night

There are quite a few examples of AM stations broadcasting country music (or AC) in Canadian small towns. I feel like I encounter these stations pretty often during the nighttime hours.

Aberdeen, MD's WAMD 970 is running automated CHR as "KHZTV.com", no FM translator. Still on as far as I know, pending a sale.

You forgot to mention religion, ethnic, and brokered programming which are increasingly becoming a part of the AM band these days. Also, I believe both of the AMs licensed to Berlin, New Hampshire, would fall under the categories you specified and both (if Memory serves) have FM translators.

One of the biggest problems AM radio is facing now is that radio manufacturers are no longer making AM radios with high fidelity sound. This has been the case since at least the end of stereo AM in the U.S. and probably before, since you don't need to have AM stereo to create a high fidelity sound on the band. There are a lot of good reasons for this, of course, but it has lead to the widespread abandoning of AM worldwide of which the U.S. has been late in coming. While I have concerns about this abandonment (some of which are very political), I now see no real future going forward for the broad commercial use of AM.

WAZZ "My Kiss Radio 93.5" Fayetteville NC, 1490 AM, 1000 watts.

At one time it was the only CHR in the area that wasn't in a different market.

Now Q98 seems to have changed from Hot AC to CHR.
