I've been listening to the True Oldies channel a bit today (much better than WTRY, I'd have to say), and it got me thinking... "hmm, should WVKZ consider an AM-to-FM translator?" WVKZ cannot upgrade its signal due to being on a graveyard frequency (1240), and Anastos is not going to dump Star 101.3 (Saratoga/Glens Falls like their local station), or replace 1160 WABY or YNN's audio feed, so an AM-to-FM translator might be a good idea.
Other stations have AM-to-FM translators (such as WVTL-1570/104.7 and WFNY-1440/94.1 in the Mohawk Valley, and soon also WIZR-930/96.5)... so I've been thinking that if WVKZ/True Oldies were to expand to FM, this might be the best way to go. Any thoughts?
