Nice Tony, and what is also VERY interesting is that WDRE is already a Wikipedia entry from back when the calls were moved to Philly by Jarad. Remember, WDRE was built on the 'dare to be different' moniker during the original ownership wars over WLIR/WDRE. Were you the one that linked the Philly page to Party 105.3, or is the entry already taking on a life of its own?

That is really cool man... good job!!! I have a copy of the log from the day we signed it on. I boxed it up before my move to Dallas. If I can find it, I'll try to scan it and throw it on that website. Is it possible to put other pics on there? Anyway, good job and thanks for being so dedicated to Party 105!!!

Thanks, but I am not taking ALL credit for starting this up. Poster Robert Moore ALSO did a Wikipedia entry on Party 105.3; I had NO idea he did this. I've merged most of what I and others wrote in there as well. That link can be found here, and to that end, HE should be thanked as well.

Seany, I am honored to see you post in here, as I am sure the rest of the dance music fans are! We SO DESPERATELY wanted Party 105 to simul on 92.7 when the signal was there. It would have created such a huge buzz to NYC, since we were stuck to the older stuff 'KTU played and not much new. NO QUESTION the station always had a "cult" following from core fans such as myself. THAT is what a dance station should sound like, not the crumble that is happening right now in NYC with the two rhythmic stations virtually "imploding" as we speak.

I have checked the entries and a lot of good info is being offered! Maybe we can do a Party 105 fanbase site (like the fans of WABC-AM) and whatever info you can dig up for it would be gladly accepted!

Tony I couldnt have said it better myself. I really wish Jared wouldnt have been scared to switch 92.7 since they would later on sell it anyway.

The format didn't matter, at $62 million, the station would have been sold regardless of format and/or ratings. I did NOT want to see Party on 92.7. Central Suffolk (my home)is usually disadvantaged by receiving low or fringe signals from the east and west. 105.3 and 92.7 signals both made it to my home and I was thrilled. At least we have Party 105 back.

Seany, are you on the air and does your station stream? All the best.

As one of the many dance-aholics on this board, I think you guys did an awesome job on this! Party 105 was and now is the premier cutting edge dance station and I'm glad we recognize this and can honor it by putting this page together.

WDRE (formerly WXXP) took a chance that not even a big New York City station would take.... uhhh uuumm! We all know which station I'm talking about.

As a person who lives in CT, I listen to party 105 as much as I can when the signal comes in. The page is very interesting and done very well, kudos to everyone who added info to it!

Any word on jocks other than Andre? Are they looking for jocks? I'de love to send my resume..

Once again great page to the now Legendary Party 105.3!!
