Amanda Knox homecoming coverage

I fail to see why she has suddenly become a national hero.

Are we that sure she was not in some way an accomplice? Or are we just celebrating that she got away with it..............(i.e. O.J., Casey Anthony).

Umm Gregg.....She WAS acquitted of the crime in a court of law thanks to DNA. Last time I checked, DNA DOES NOT LIE (Not even in Italy)

Same thing about the hiking idiots in Iran. They are now not idiots but heroes........go figure.

The hikers were just plain STUPID !!! They weren't trying to commit a crime. Anyone could see that

Now they will all make books and movies and get rich............off of nothing. I sure won't be
buying or watching.

Don't you think you're being just a tad RIDICULOUS ??

Well all this coverage you'd think she just got back from the moon.

I'm sure others have been released from foreign jails, who were incarcerated longer
than she was, better looking than she is..............we just never heard about them.

Probably because their lover didn't kill a room mate and they didn't claim I saw
and heard nothing and I'm a total angel.

Which is why MSNBC didn't spend any more time on the event than it took her to make her statement. If you were watching, you would've noticed that

Ironically, I find it interesting that (With the exception of CNN, MSNBC & the business nets) the death of Steve Jobs got more airtime than Amanda Knox did. Only G4 was THE LONE exception to this rule (Not sure just how much time they spent on it but it must've been an awful lot though)

I'll second that statement. I've defended the Knox family's right to be left alone - or to profit from the affair in order to get back on their feet financially. They've been through an ordeal that I wouldn't wish on my enemies.

But as far as the story itself goes, I think all I've seen is a 20/20 report on her case maybe 3 years ago - shortly after the story broke, and a few minutes here and there about her exoneration and release. I also read short Daily Beast analysis from one of the reporters "embedded" in Italy. Other than that - I have no further interest in the details.

And perhaps my interest in the story is jaded in that she is from my hometown. Well, not perhaps...it is.

So I will not comment further. I'll let others from around the country form their opinions. I will say that the story was buried quite quickly with other breaking news, so be it.
