Amazon Sued Over Prime Video Ads: Class-Action Complaint Accuses Tech Giant of ‘Immoral, Unethical, Oppressive, Unscrupulous’ Conduct Does seem a bit sketchy. Netflix let users opt into ads instead of out of them. Doing a price hike would have made more sense and let users choose the cheaper option.

Amazon sued over automatically inserting ads on Prime

I'm not sure the suit has merit. It's a plan change. The new base plan includes ads. Want to maintain no ads? Simple..Click this box and pay slightly more.
It has the same effect either way.
It takes all of about 3 clicks to change your Prime video option from "with" to "without" ads or back again.
Someone should sue the folks who filed this suit for terminal stupidity.
