Amber alert coverage

I am just curious if any TV or radio stations ran an Amber Alert on the kidnapped 14 year old girl whose parents were murdered by her 18 year old boyfriend. This happened yesterday morning near Lancaster and the alert was out to central PA counties. Later, it expanded into more counties in the state and eventually went out in neighboring states. The alert was later cancelled when police arrested the girl's boyfriend in an Indiana town.

The radio/TV coverage was extensive even though I don't pay attention to radio that much, the top news story of NEPA was the kidnapping and it said that murderer could be in the region. It is also made national headlines because the killing of the parents was brutal.

There were similiar incidents in this region three times that trigged an alert, but none of them are major.

I heard a board op on ESPN Radio WEJL/WBAX, and on WILK
read the release on Sunday night. I thought that was pretty
significant.

For whatever it's worth, I did it in detail every hour on WKAB. It was significant and even though it wasn't local, police were speculating he could be headed any in Pennsylvania, including this area.

Heard it on Magic, the automated sounding voice thing just interrupting the regular programming, around 3PM Sunday.

It sounded to me like a clipped EAS type voice.

The Citadel and Entercom stations ran the Amber Alert. WMGS (the LP-1 EAS station for Luzerne County) and WKRZ (the LP-2 in Luzerne County) aired it as received from PA Emergency Management.
