I was thinking this week about what would make Houston Radio a proud display of radio broadcasting nationwide. Here is what I came up with. I would bring Jack and Bob & then devlop Melissa a talk format for men as a counterpart for women named Richard a talk format for women. One Classic Rock with real Classic Rock and jocks that know the music. Two Top 40's, one more dance and the other more new rock. One classic/active rock format with jocks that know music and like to party. 2 Country one Young Country type and one Classic. All Jocks would know the music. One Jazz. Two News Stations that know what news is. Two political talk! There would be Tow oldies one for the 50's and early 60's the the other with mid 60's thru mid 70's. No disco! There would be one Urban rap one Urban oldies! I do not see a Clear Answer in this picture! Any thoughts?
Edited by Lame Boy!!! on 06/18/05 09:58 PM.

Your formatting idea already exists. It's called XM and Sirius Satellite.

Exactly. Besides most people today young and old are simply not waiting around any longer in hopes that radio will play their type of music. It is the people (the listeners) who are now basically doing their own DJing with IPods, online music, etc..

Once the people get control of their own music selection radio will NEVER get that control back.
