I'm not sure how everything is going to shake down but I like the idea of getting more updated music. This will be good for radio programmers who can put good cuts on the air immediately. Hearing those Disney-fied Neil Diamond covers were pathetic.
They are cutting back on showing a lot of the auditions, in my opinion they were the best part of the show...after the auditions were over I never watched again.

The city-to-city auditions were the ONLY part of Americal Idol I actually liked. However to me, after last year, it became stale and predictable (I even believe some of the auditions were staged), and I stopped watching after the first episode.
