American Road

I know this probably should go under "Syndication", but, since the show is originating in Houston, I wanted to pass this along: "American Road", is launching in a couple of markets the weekend of October 28-30. It's the pet project of Dan Gallo, Alan Shapiro, and Rod Tanner. It's been in the works since April, and with a hearty, "Hail Mary" and a "Hi-yo silver dollar", it's off and running. For the most part, the music is Americana. The website is www.americanroadonline.com. The title of the show is drawn from the premise that, to find what's new and "cutting edge" in music, these days, you have to hit the road and catch the groups and artists live. Thanks for lettin' me post. If all goes well, the group, American Road Productions, will be looking for more programs to market, since local programming is fading away.

Thanks! We're just a group of frustrated musicians who love good music. I'm amazed, more and more every day, how much good music there is out there that doesn't get airplay. Yet, the biggest complaint with radio is that the playlists are too repetitive. Hopefully, we can have a hand in bringing a little relief.
