American Top 40-Milwaukee History

This weeks AT40-The 70s was from December 1975. Casey Kasem mentioned the new affiliate that week was WRKR Racine Wisconsin. The first time I ever heard the program was on WRKR in the Fall of 1976. I didn't know until now when they first started running it.

Does anybody know if any Milwaukee station ran AT40 before WRKR did? Also, what station was the AT40 affiliate in the 80s. I moved out of the area but for some reason I have the impression it was WKTI. Is that correct?

I worked at WRKR in the 80's and I also heard the "welcome" message on AT-40 this weekend. I also wondered when it started on there. All I can say is it ran on WRKR until it went "Hearbeat 101". Every Sunday night at 6, followed by Doctor Dimento at 10. It then went to WKTI, I think it was on Sunday mornings there. Ahhh, the good 'ol days of top 40......

...the closest I know of were KFIZ/1450 Fond du Lac (picking it up Sunday nights 8:00 to 11:00 circa late '71) and WCFL/1000 Chicago (running it in Saturday-Sunday overnights in '72-'73)...
