Amp 97.1 FM

Here's some inside info on the workings of the new Amp 97.1:

Songs will be called "Amp Currents"
PSAs will be "Short Circuits"
Commercials will be "Blown Fuses"
Requests will be "Crossed Wires"
Stop sets will be "Circuit Breakers"
And air personalities will be ... wait for it ... "Shock Jocks"

Some say it takes a bit of stupidity to be a genius but the above poster may be both. But the post did make me laugh out loud. Thanks we all needed that! Chuckles to all!

Not blowing up "Movin" is now going to hurt Emmis even more now... Emmis really could have put the squeeze on KIIS from BOTH ends... now that isn't going to happen. What a poorly run organization.

I've learned over the years not to believe anything in a paper called the Times unless it has the word "Washington" ahead of it. You'd be amazed at the number of typos I find in the Tribune publications... it's really a joke!

I'm amazed that anyone even reads a paper, particularly for news about print's competitors, radio and TV. ;D

If they are smart, they won't react at all. Their reaction to Power 106, when they hit the airwaves, was the reason KIIS dropped in the ratings. I will give that when KKHR hit the airwaves, KIIS added some pop rock hits KKHR was playing that KIIS had been avoiding and their ratings went even higher.

It looks like they plugged the kcbs hd2 signal. But I'm hoping they bring a full on dance hits station on kcbs hd2. They have a great signal coverage. From what I learned, Kdld hd2 is indie music during the day and a dance station at night. So cali, wake up pride radio and kdld isn't full dance. how about a house of jack on hd2? lol

Agreed. WRXP and KMVN are jokes. You wonder what Emmis is smoking..
