AMP Parts Ways with Another

Well, it seems the latest person to be shown the door is Mike Warner, production director of the Lafayette cluster.

It's too bad, too. Mike seemed like a pretty devoted employee and is a pretty good guy as well.

Mike gave the Lafayette AMP stations a signature sound with his spots, and I hope he lands on his feet soon. :)

Don't worry. I'm sure as many spots as he did, we'll hear Mike's voice on AMP for the next couple of years!

Does this mean Steve Clark does all the spots now? Another overused voice for AMP stations.

You absolutely CANNOT say you're going to improve your stations and then cut staff turning the whole operation into a computer with voice tracking and various satellite feeds! What's the point?

The advertisers and community should be outraged at how the communications business has been downsized to death. Doesn't that field count as much as a person who shows up at the factory every day?

???

Surprising. Mike was always one of AMPs biggest cheerleaders.

And having been there for 8? 9? years, he had to be near the top in regards to longevity. I'll never know how he managed to hang on so long.

Nice guy though. Always got along well with him.

I can remember Mike defending AMP on this board!

Too bad...he was there since the Wolf sign-on....long time in AMP years.

It might sound like sceince fiction but they really know how to brain wash people in those buildings just by making promises and always forcing you to think a certain way again and again with the things they say. It might take some time but Im sure that Mike werner will realize that after a some time to think outside that enviroment where every one tells you the same things to keep you in line and on there board.

Mike will rebound just fine. He is an excellent talent and has a tremendous amount of skills. I enjoyed working with Mike when I was PD at the Wolf and later when he imaged WGFA for me. Mike looked out for his family and always for the stations. As weird as things seemed to be there he was always the rock.

Very surprising... the level of production/writing/creativity has taken an immediate turn.

Steve is also a tremendous talent and here's wishing him the best.

Both have good families and both are good people.
