Amp Radio 97.1 FM/HD Here We Go It Goes Live!

Glad they began with a song that has not been played to death. Of course.this is hit radio next song is Lady Gaga's "Just Dance".

N-n-n-now-now.....at least ten thousand songs in a row...commercial free...on the NEW 97.1...Amp Radio!!! ;D ;D ;D

Pretty soon for NYC, it's either K-Rock or Fresh thats gonna die for Amp.

I lasted about three minutes.....I then switched over to FMTalk Too and guess what, Adam Carolla reruns is still playing there. I think if they replayed all of Leykis and FHF shows there I wouldn't complain.

Amp Radio L.A. Request Line number is: 1-877-971-HITS

Like it makes a difference - for what will be a computer "Selector" format for now.

They should of started with "let it rock", that seems that it would pump up a flip more

Witness the dumbing-down & degradation of radio! BS music, void of anything redeeming.

The irony, KIIS figured this out a long time ago and has been ahead of the curve....Now at least, there's a challenger coming at Clear Channel...Albeit, serving up ever-more radio-garbage to the masses.

Wow!

What exactly is the appeal to you people of hearing a bunch of radio stations trying to beat each other in the ratings by playing the exact same friggin' music?

With the demise of FM Talk in LA I now listen to 100% satellite radio, which at the very least, has some variety in its music channels. It's going to be a sad statement on our society when this new format doubles 97.1's ratings. It's the end of good radio.

I'm sure someone has posted the format change already, but if not and you have a site to post it on, I have the change in mp3 form. The last 1:30 of Leykis and the first 9 minutes of amp. If you have a site to post it on, send me a PM and I can send it to you.

Processing is incredible. Reminds me of the days when KIIS-FM's processing was good but this is even better. Scott Mason has outdone himself.

Plays Well With Others said:
The AMP player still has all the "FM Talk" graphics. It's kinda funny to see "97.1 Talk FM" on the Player Banner and then see Fat Joe on the "Now Playing" cover art
I remember when 101.5 free fm in phoenix flipped to 101.5 jamz, they still had free fm adverts on the stream and filler rock music where the commercials where, it was funny

"Amp" This is the best they could come up with? Watts next? (Rimshot. Try the veal. I'll be here all week.) Isn't this an 12-24, 18-34? Just waiting for the liner, "Because our iPod has a transmitter and yours doesn't." Sweet jeebus, and they wonder why radio's circling the drain.

Just throw it up on rapidshare.com and drop the link in here. Easy peasy.
