AMP Radio comes to Calgary

At 6:00 PM (MDT) this evening CFUL (FUEL 90.3) in Calgary flips from Classic Alternative to CHR. It will be branded as AMP Radio (a concept stolen from KLSX 97.1 in Los Angeles). The stream is up and running in case anyone wants to check it out:

Did NewCap just steal some Kiss Toronto possibilities?

There are rumours floating around that Russell James WAS going to go to Toronto's Kiss, but he may go to Calgary instead.

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that Russell James has resigned as APD/MD at The Bounce in Edmonton, to pursue another opportunity in radio. It'll be interesting to see where he turns up!

Good guessing, but it's too early to tell. What if no one "Makes the switch"?

Or, heck, for all we know, Vibe could just up and decide there's a hole in the market for something new and different to try...
