No jocks wouldn't have worked a few years ago, but now with iPods and the popularity of them, when people listen to a music station they expect music, not talk. If they want talk, its either on a podcast or on AM radio.calguy said:Shhh, don't let the suits in on that or deejays will disappear like dinosaurs. They're already on the endangered species list. Personally I need my job. But really, in my mind it's less a philosophy and more a cost cutting maneuver. Pretty sad. By the way, does that mean that KIIS would do better without a high priced morning show? Oooh Seacrest out! But when you think of it, programmers seem to be moving in the direction of broadcasting nothing more than an iPod with a bigger transmitter. Nothing special about that. Would KHJ have been as good without the Boss Jocks? I think not, but I'm sure everyone has their opinions.

You can use that for pretty much the entire year.
