AMP

you could easily substitute "AMP" with "the last company/the first company I worked for" in these stories.

That is not the case at all (in my story or others I know)....I have never worked for AMP. I have seen what has happened...and would never work there...EVER! I would rather BEG John Balvich for a gig in Rensselaer than take ANYTHING AMP had to offer. (and I did work for John...and for anyone else who has...that is no pleasure pit)

I'll 2nd that!

I worked for AMP twice. Once under the University Broadcasting banner. It wasnt a bad experience at all. I was back a few years later, after they became AMP and it was a whole different animal. I'd hoped that maybe things would improve under Bob Fords management. Bob is a top notch professional, but unfortunately nothing really changed. In fact conditions seem to have only gotten worse over the years.

Never worked for Balvich. Heard lots of horror stories though. Given the choice between the two, I think I'd check out that greeter gig at Walmart first....

I've met the guy. Seems nice enough. What are some of the horror stories?

John Balvich is a great guy trying to operate good family run local radio stations what the hell is wrong with that? John is a great gude.

As I said, if you wanted to be (back) on the air and an organization said, "Here's the shift, do whatever you want with it, and, by the way, we'll pay you a lovely salary", who can say they would remember some "horror stories" and turn it down???

Balvich, Art, Moe, Larry, Curly, or whoever, you don't know what you'll do until the situation is right in your lap and how it relates to your way of life, right?

In the time I dealt with John, Great Guy never came up!

Family run local radio stations....yeah right....3 stations on satellite...what great local radio!

Thanks for stopping by, though, John

I would rather BEG John Balvich

Why do you have to be such a hater? John is a good family man and he takes care of his people especially in Rencharear and he does do a lot of local stuff, look and listen to the outstanding job they do with high school sports and stuff.

I heard John Balvich shot a man once...just for snorin' !!!

Nah.......the ones that do nothing are his best friends. Their jobs are secure.

The workers who work their butts off are the ones who catch all the hell.

A select few, yes, and very much so from a monetary standpoint. The majority, not so much.

From this post, I would assume you are talking about sales people and not on-air talent. That's how Art likes to do it, if he pays people, at all.

The problem is the same as it's always been. The company is being controlled by a financial investment banker, who somewhere along his I.U. educational blood-line, forgot one key principle in a successful investment. It takes spending money to make money. They will never learn this concept, and instead have worked against that principle for 20+ years.

WOW!!! Amen, brother!!! :D Religious hyperbole aside, this statement says it all about AMP!

The story of Johnny Appleseed is based on Balvich... except for the part about planting appletrees... and not raping men!
And each time he planted a spot into the audimation system he said that these are the fruits our loins. Didn't he also wear a bitchin' hat?

That I dont know about but it sure doesnt seem to off base.
